Lesson 15: Second Octave Notes
"Oct" means "eight." An octagon has eight sides, an octopus has eight arms, and an octave has eight notes. Cool!

This is the fingering diagram for the second octave D. Notice the diamond shape in the B key indicating to use the "half hole" technique by closing the B key but exposing the hole in the middle of this key.

This is the fingering diagram for the second octave E♭ (E flat). Notice that it is nearly identical to the fingering diagram for the first octave E♭, with the only difference being the use of the half hole technique to expose the diamond shaped hole on the B key just as we did for the second octave D.
